I’ve received word that the Community site for the “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove” is up and running. For those of you who love Asian Literature, get over there and sign up. It’s a community where the general public can login to discuss all sorts of things regarding Asian lit, though I think the specific focus will be Wuxia.
Which leads to the other exciting news: John, the author of the Seven Sages, is also interested in printing a Wuxia anthology. How cool is that? And to make it even better, it will be a paying anthology. More on that after he opens to submissions. For now, make sure you login to join the Sages.
Do you have anything you plan on submitting?
Thanks for the mention! About Seven Sages: the focus will be on whatever the community makes it. There isn't any particular preference for wuxia except that among individual members. So if Japanese literature is your thing, for example, then that's great. Post all you want about it and discuss it all you want.
Every member automatically has blogging privileges, so you can add posts to the main blog yourself, be it original content or a cross-post from your own blog.
My MS is currently in the last stages of revision ( hopefully) I will submit it soon.
Wow, John. That's pretty brave – giving members blogging privileges! I'll have to remember I can do that. BWA ha ha. Just kidding. ;D Thanks for dropping in and steering me straight on the wuxia thing!
YEAH, Rachna! Submitting always makes me feel successful – productive. I love submitting.
That site sounds fascinating; I'll check it out. Unfortunately I know next to nothing about wuxia. *Is ashamed at my ignorance of my own cultural heritage* but when it comes out, I'd give it a read!
This isn't for me but good luck to those of you who do.
There's no better time to learn, Maybelle. 🙂 Wuxia just keeps growing in popularity.
Thanks for commenting, Natalie! Especially since it's not your cup of tea. ;D
